As we approach Christmas, I find myself reflecting on the many blessings in our school community. I am incredibly grateful for our parents and students, whose presence fills our school with joy and purpose.
The day I am writing this is a snowy, dreary one—the kind of day that tempts you to stay under the covers just a little longer. But as I greet students during morning drop-off, their smiling faces and excitement about the snow remind me of the beauty in each new day. While many of us adults may grumble about shoveling or icy roads, children see the snow as an opportunity for adventure—snow pants, snow hills, and snowball fights with friends. Their joy is contagious, and it doesn’t take long for my attitude to be uplifted by their enthusiasm.
I am reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:3: “What I’m about to tell you is true. You need to change and become like little children. If you don’t, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Children have a beautiful ability to wake up eager to learn, play, and find goodness in each other and their surroundings. They don’t see obstacles; they see opportunities. What a privilege it is to be part of their world each day!
In this season of gratitude, I want to thank all of you—parents, families, and community members—for your past and current support of our students, staff, and school. Thank you for providing a place where we can grow together in our love for Christ. And thank you for the incredible opportunity I’ve been given to lead this school community.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Christmas.
