During this past summer, I had the privilege of attending an enrollment management conference where I had the opportunity to listen to an inspiring presentation. The speaker passionately advocated for the value of a Catholic education, and I would like to share some of the key points with you.
One of the speaker's profound insights focused on the journey of individuals as they progress through their adolescent and young adult years. It's common for people to experience periods of distancing from their faith during this time. However, the speaker also emphasized that many individuals eventually seek a deeper meaning in life and return to their faith. This journey was likened to a guiding light. Even if the light dims at times, it never truly vanishes. It remains there as a source of hope, waiting to be rekindled.
As parents, our deepest desire is for this light of faith within our children to burn brightly throughout their lives. Yet, we acknowledge that faith can take on varying degrees of intensity in our own journeys.
I want to commend each and every one of you who have chosen to send your children and grandchildren to our school. By doing so, you are providing them with an incredible advantage. You are nurturing and fanning the flame of faith within them. This gift will empower them and set them on a path enriched by the word of God.
Your commitment to their spiritual and educational development is truly admirable. It is through your support and dedication that our students have the opportunity to not only strengthen their own faith but also to share the message of God's love with others, ultimately fulfilling the mission to "Make Jesus Famous."
To our beloved parishioners and alumni, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support of our school and the young individuals who pass through its halls. Your continued dedication helps ensure that the flame of faith burns brightly for generations to come.
Thank you for being an essential part of our faith-filled community.
